Oxford Health Plans, Inc. was founded in 1984, and provides coverage to individuals and employers in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Individual plans offered to Oxford members in New Jersey include Individual Indemnity Plans, Individual Liberty Plan PPO SM, Individual Liberty Personal HMO Plan, and NJ Individual Basic and Essential Plan EPO. Healthy Mother, Healthy Baby is a maternity program designed to be used in addition to care provided by members physicians. Expectant mothers are sent a series of mailings that help to educate and prepare parents for the arrival of the baby. Oxford offers prenatal and postnatal care books. Oxford members have exclusive access to the Healthy Mind, Healthy Body magazine that includes articles addressing a variety of health related topics. Such topics include prevention, nutrition, exercise, wellness, family matters, as well as complementary and alternative medicines. Oxford sends the Healthy Mind, Healthy Body magazine to members homes three times a year. Oxford plans include the Freedom Plan, HMO Plan, Liberty Plan, and Select/PPO Plans.
